ABOUT LONGPAW
Who is Longpaw?
Longpaw was a nickname for Elrond, the German Shepherd mix pictured on this site's home page. His image was used to create the business logo. It was through Elrond's need for additional attention because of an illness that I became acquainted with the pet sitting business. He passed away during the time I was considering pet sitting as a retirement business. Longpaw Pet Sitting Service was named in memory of and in tribute to him.

Who am I?
My name is Tom Lomma and I am the owner and proprietor of Longpaw Pet Sitting Service. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree at Penn State University and my Master of Science degree at SUNY Albany. I am recently retired from a 30-year career in human services and, through the good fortune of meeting a dedicated and caring pet sitter, I became acquainted with the pet sitting business. I chose pet sitting as a retirement occupation to fulfill my enjoyment of being with and caring for animals. I have shared my life with numerous dogs, a cat, hamsters, guinea pigs, and a rabbit. I provided them with uncompromised care and compassion - I believe I can do the same for your companions.
By the way, I am pictured above with Opal, the newest addition to our family. I am the one with the least amount of hair!
